Dzi agate beads have long been treasured within Himalayan and Tibetan bead traditions for bold markings, aged surfaces, and the individuality of each bead.
The 25 mm cylindrical Dzi focal bead in YINGZHAO is built to rotate freely, turning the stone itself into the moving center of the necklace. Ornate 18K gold-plated end-caps hold that motion within a fixed frame.
Jambhala chose Dzi agate for this design not only for its pattern and weathered character, but because the substantial cylindrical form can physically carry the relationship between stability and movement.

Yingzhao is a winged guardian responsible for a sacred garden near Kunlun, remembered less for standing still than for watching over and maintaining a valuable place.
Jambhala translates that responsibility through a free-spinning focal bead held securely between ornate end-caps. The axis stays in place while the stone continues to move.
