About Jambhala
What is Jambhala?
Jambhala is a jewelry brand inspired by ancient beings, old stories, literature, and visual traditions. We translate elements from those sources into contemporary jewelry through shape, rhythm, material, proportion, and composition.
What is a Symbolic Anchor?
A Symbolic Anchor is a piece of jewelry that gives a story, value, or idea a physical form you can wear. Meaning develops through the relationship between the story, the design, and the person who wears it.
Do Jambhala pieces have spiritual or healing powers?
No supernatural, medical, or therapeutic effects are promised. Jambhala’s meanings are symbolic categories, not guaranteed outcomes.
Where do the stories come from?
The Beings come from a range of sources, including old texts, mythology, strange tales, poetry, religious and visual traditions, and later retellings. Where a story changed over time, we try to distinguish between early records, later developments, and Jambhala’s contemporary interpretation.
Why don’t the pieces look like literal creature charms?
Because Jambhala works through translation rather than direct reproduction. The source may remain present through structure, rhythm, proportion, contrast, or material rather than through a literal miniature figure.
What are the five Jambhala meanings?
Protection, Clarity, Transformation, Connection, and Abundance. These are contemporary Jambhala categories used to organize the stories behind the Beings. They are not ancient classifications.
Materials & Care
Are natural materials identical from piece to piece?
No. Natural materials can vary in color, banding, inclusions, translucency, grain, surface marks, and pattern. Two pieces made from the same design may therefore look slightly different.
How should I care for my jewelry?
As a general rule, keep jewelry away from prolonged exposure to water, perfume, cosmetics, household chemicals, and strong impact. Store pieces separately when possible to reduce scratching and unnecessary friction. Always follow any material-specific care instructions provided on the product page.
Are the materials chosen for metaphysical properties?
No fixed metaphysical system determines our material choices. We select materials primarily for color, weight, texture, pattern, surface, contrast, and the way they support the design.
Are Jambhala designs handmade?
The production process varies by design. Each piece is selected, arranged, assembled, finished, and quality checked with hands-on attention. Depending on the design, some components may be made with specialized tools or by production partners.
Choosing & Stories
How do I choose a piece?
There is no single correct way. You can begin with the design, the material, the Being behind it, or one of the five meanings. You do not need to share Jambhala’s interpretation for a piece to become meaningful to you.
Can I read the full story behind a piece?
Yes. Each Being has its own story page covering its source, visual identity, later traditions where relevant, and the way Jambhala translates it into jewelry.
Orders & Policies
How long will my order take to ship?
In-stock items are typically processed and dispatched within 2–3 business days. After dispatch, estimated delivery is 15–30 business days, for a total estimated delivery time of approximately 17–33 business days.
What is your return policy?
You have 30 days from delivery to request a return. Eligible items must be unworn, unused, undamaged, in original condition, and returned with original brand packaging. Change-of-mind returns are subject to customer-paid return shipping and a 10% restocking fee.
